Donald W. Kuehling

Donald W. Kuehling, 93, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Don was born on April 7, 1922 in Tomahawk to Walter and Edna (Taves) Kuehling. He married Muriel Martwick on June 1, 1946 also in Tomahawk. He served his country during World War II in the Army. Don worked in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry for over 40 years while living in the Chicago area. Following retirement in 1986 he and Muriel moved back home to Tomahawk. Don had a passion for flying and was a proud pilot. He owned his own plane for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling, and dearly loved his dog, snuffy. Don will be remembered as a kind, honest, fun-loving man with a great sense of humor. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 3 Children: Kristin Kuehling Wauconda, IL Brian (Judy) Kuehling Henderson, NV Roland (Bobbi) Kuehling California He is further survived by 6 grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren on the way. Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Muriel, Daughter, Gayle, Son, Lon, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services for Donald Kuehling will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial, with military rites will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to especially thank Don's caregiver, Carey Kerchefski, for all of her loving care.
