Donald E. Marcott, age 88, of Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Don was born on December 2, 1922 in Wausau to Arthur and Bertha (Hunsicker) Marcotte. He graduated from Wausau High School in 1941. He served as a torpedo man's mate in the US Navy during WWII. Following his discharge, he returned to Wausau where he was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Corporation. He also had worked as a City Bus Driver, then an appliance salesman, and finally as a hydro dam operator. Following his retirement in 1984 Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, hockey, and especially spending time with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his deep unconditional love for his family.

Don is further survived by 5 Grandchidren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandson, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, four brothers, a grandson, an infant daughter, and both of his wives, Pauline and Carol.
Funeral Services for Donald E. Marcott will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
