Donald A. Mead

Donald A. Mead, age 75, of W4679 State Highway 86, Ogema, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. Don was born on April 19, 1940 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Joseph and Hattie Jane Mead. He was married to Kate Lemke on July 31, 1982 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Don served in the United States Army for 27 years, he was the recipient of 3 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star during the Vietnam War. Don and Kate had lived in Oulu, Wisconsin for 22 years, later moving to Tomahawk, and most recently to the Ogema area. He loved ranching, raising Curly horses, and Corgi dogs. Survivors include: Wife, Kate Mead Ogema Sons, Donald A. Mead, Jr. Austin, TX Trever A. Kane Ogema Step Son, Robert Bloom Burlington, WI Sisters, Avis (Leonard) Olson Myrtle Creek, OR Cathy Skaj Casper, WY A Celebration of Don Meads Life with Military rites will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
