Donald Pierson

Donald Pierson, age 89, W1568 State Hwy. 86, Ogema, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Don was born November 15, 1920 in Spirit, the son of Edward and Mae (McGillvary) Pierson. He married Lorraine Levra on July 11, 1953 in Iron Belt, Wisconsin. He was an engineer with Young Radiator in Racine for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. He and Lorraine moved back to Ogema in 1993. Don was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII. He was a member of the Spirit American Legion and St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, the most important thing to him was family. Survivors include: Wife Lorraine Pierson Ogema Sons Darrell (Cheryl) Pierson Brantwood Keith (Mary) Pierson Pulaski Sisters Lois (Ken) Resheske Racine Geraldine Lipscomb Maryland Don is further survived by 3 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Pierson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private Burial will be at Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery in Spirit.
