Donna L. Kamrath, age 82, of W2927 County Road A, Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, December 22. 2012 at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab in Rhinelander due to complications of lymphoma.
She was born June 21, 1930 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Henry and Elvira (LeClerc) Extrom. She married Wilmer Kamrath December 29, 1956 in Tomahawk.
Donna earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (then State College) in 1954 and held teaching positions in Wausau, Beaver Dam, and Tomahawk. Later, after receiving certification as a reading specialist, she was a Title I/Reading Specialist with the School District of Rhinelander. Donna was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk, and in 1989 composed a church history document in celebration of St. Mary's centennial. Donna enjoyed decorating her home on Lake Clara, swimming, picnicking, taking walks, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Tomahawk Historical Society and loved to get together for luncheons and other social events.

She is further survived by 4 Great Grandchildren, Kailey, Kamryn, Melanie, and Mylie, and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Keith Extrom and one sister, Marge Peterman.
Funeral services for Donna Kamrath will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27th, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Edward F. Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m.
