Doris M. Schoenke, 93, a long-time resident of Boulder Junction and formerly of Wauwatosa died September 21, 2015. She was born June 1, 1922 to William and Helen Schoenke in Milwaukee.
Doris had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time with her family and dogs. She was a dedicated member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Woodruff-Minocqua and a volunteer at sing-a-longs at the former Dr. Kate’s Nursing Home for over 15 years. She was formerly employed in Milwaukee at the Nunn Bush Shoe Factory and later with the Christian Science Committee on Publications.
She is survived by her nephews; Roger H. Westphal of Boulder Junction and Mark G. (Tina) Westphal of Minocqua; great nephews; James (Jackie) Westphal of Madison and Timothy Westphal of Arbor Vitae; nephews Robert (Ann) Schoenke of Germantown and Richard (Sandy) Schoenke of Florida and Niece, Nancy Hartman of Nashota.
She was preceded in death by her Sister, Audrey Westphal and her Brother, Robert Schoenke.
Per Doris’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly requests that memorial donations be made to a charitable organization of their choice in Doris’s name.
