Dorothy L. Burroughs, 90, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Minnesota where she had been living with her daughter.
Dorothy was born in Steinauer, Nebraska on February 9, 1931 to Clarence and Anna (Christian) Wenzl. She was married to Ralph Burroughs on April 25, 1959 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dorothy and Ralph lived in the Tomahawk area from 1968 until his passing in 2000, she then moved to Minnesota to be closer to her daughter, Shawn. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Surviving Dorothy are her children, Michael (Darlene) Burroughs, Ladysmith; Scott (Karla) Burroughs, Nekoosa; Bryan Burroughs, Ladysmith; and Shawn (Chris) Towle of North Branch, Minnesota. She is further survived by 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Alexis, and Samantha Burroughs and a great granddaughter, Harper. There are also seven siblings surviving, Frances Wolken, Louise Kavanaugh, George Wenzl, Ronnie Wenzl, Florence Wenzl, John Wenzl, and Robert Wenzl all living in Nebraska. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph, and 3 siblings.
Funeral Services for Dorothy Burroughs will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Deacon Dan Towle will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 until the time of services at 6:00 p.m.
