Dorothy Schmit, age 83, N9603 Pine Grove Lane, Tomahawk, passed away April 28, 2009 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Dorothy was born July 17, 1925 in Marathon City, the daughter of Alphonse and Frieda (Krusel) Ruplinger. She married Theodore Schmit on June 20, 1953 in Tomahawk. Dorothy was a former Nurse's Aid for 18 years at Sacred Heart Hospital and former housekeeper for 15 years at the Bridge Motel in Tomahawk. Dorothy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, canning, and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Dorothy is further survived by 3 grandchildren - Andrew, Heather, and Nicole. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister - Evelyn, and 1 grandchild - Patrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Schmit will be held at Noon on Friday, May 1, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at Noon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
