Dorothy M. Urso, age 96, of 123 W. Prospect Ave., Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2010 at Golden Living- Riverview in Tomahawk.
Dorothy was born on October 27, 1913 in Tomahawk to Harry and Laura Townsend. She was first married to Myron Tully, he passed away in 1935. She later married Blacky Urso, he passed away in 1975. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Tomahawk; she had been the store manager at the Ben Franklin Store in Tomahawk for many years. She was a 55 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and she enjoyed playing the organ and reading.

4 Grandchildren, Linda (Josef) Shamey Seal Rock, Oregon Gary (Diane) Likwarz Tomahawk Lisa Likwarz Green Bay, WI Lesley Likwarz also of Tomahawk Dorothy is further survived by 4 Great Grandchildren, (Ian, Jesse, Michael, and Olivia), 2 Step Great Grandchildren, (Stephan and Tyler), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, a sister, Harriet Slaga, and a brother, Frances Townsend.
Private family services for Dorothy will be held at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Deacon Dave Bablick will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Tomahawk Public Library.
