DOUGLES ROSE
Douglas Yates Rose, 80, Ringtown, Pennsylvania, died at the result of a jet car accident in Iron Wood, Michigan, on Friday, August 17, 2018. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 6, 1937. He served his country in the United States Navy from September of 1955 to February of 1959. He was married to Jeanne Wangerin in Greenfield, WI, on September 3, 2006. He owned and professionally raced his jet car, the Green Mamba, for over 50 years. He also served as track photographer at many events. He worked as a semi trick driver and heavy equipment operator in the off season.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; by one daughter, Nickey (Kyle) Ball, Grand Prairie, CA; by his mother-in-law, Llewella Wangerin, Fifield; by two brothers, Jeffry (Wilma) Rose, Milwaukee, and Michael (Cindy) Eberl, Virginia; and by his furry children. He is preceded in death by one brother, Charlie.
Memorial services will be held in Milwaukee at a later date.
