EARL DAVID SAUTER, JR.
Earl D. Sauter, Jr. 85, Township of Worcester. died on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Flambeau Hospital Park Falls.
He was born on October 4, 1930, in Phillips, the son of Earl and Frances (Ondris) Sauter.
He attended and graduated Phillips High School, Class of 1950. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War Era from 1950 to 1954. After military service he was employed at the former Georgia Pacifac Corporation in Phillips from 1959 until the time of his retirement in 1993.
He was a membero f the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778 and the Lane-Kreiling American Legion Post #122, both of Phillips.
In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and playing cards with his family and friends.
He is survived by his longtime partner and friend Delores “Dory” Axberg,, by 1 brother: Don (Darlene) Sauter, by 1 nephew Don Jr. DJ (Beth) Sauter, all of Phillips, and by 1 niece Denise (Howard) Isnor, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, with Intern Theodore Heino of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Apr. 1, 2016 from 10:00 A.M . until the time of the service. Military Honors will be conducted by the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778, and the Lane-Kreiling American Legion Post #122, both of Phillips.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
