Earl Stokes

Earl "Gordy" Stokes, age 56, 110 S. 2nd St. #1, Tomahawk, passed away August 9, 2011 at William S. Middleton V.A. Hospital in Madison. Gordy was born April 23, 1955 in Rhinelander, the son of Bernard and Patricia (Benson) Stokes. He worked as a cab driver for many years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, and loved to read. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include: Son Andrew Stokes Minneapolis, Minnesota Sister Donna Green Grand Portage, Minnesota Brother James (Jeanette) Stokes Fargo, North Dakota Gordy is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and locally by his aunt - Sherre (Karl) Hofmann of Tomahawk. No Services will be held at this time.
