Edith A. Martin, age 98, 2194 Martin Drive, Tomahawk, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009 at Hospice of Volusia, Orange City, Florida.
Edith was born November 22, 1910 in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mabel St. Claire. She married William B. Martin, Sr.; he passed away in 1973. Edith moved from Milwaukee to Tomahawk in 1948. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the original Boomba Bar. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, and crafting. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Edith is further survived by 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, 1 brother, 4 sisters, 1 son-in-law, 1 granddaughter, and 2 great granddaughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edith Martin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Krueger & Sons Funeral Home with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
