On July 26, 2021, Auntie's prayers were answered and the Lord called her home at 100 years old. Edna Jashinsky was born on March 12, 1921 in Pound, WI to Fred and Augusta Kowalski, one of fourteen children. Edna married Elmer Jashinsky in 1941 in Pound, they moved to Milwaukee where she was a housekeeper/nanny for Dr. and Mrs.Churchill, until she retired, returning back to Pound. She never had any children of her own but she cared for and loved generations of children. She was a member of Section 8 Baptist Church, and a volunteer on the kitchen committee. She loved to spend her days outdoors picking raspberries and cutting grass. She touched many people's lives with her faith, love and kindness. She was able to spend the last years of her life living in Minocqua with her niece's family. She is survived by Mike, Michelle, Mason and Brady Olson, Correen, Perry and Lindsey Oleck, Holly, Brandon, Luke and Wyatt Troini, Sharon Geltner and family, Sherri Wilson and family, Judy David and family and many other friends that became family. Everyone in Minocqua called her "Auntie." A memorial service will be held at Section 8 Baptist Church in Pound on September 11, 2021 at 11 am with a visitation from 10:00 am till time of service.
