Edward Bajorek, age 81, Tomahawk, passed away May 17, 2013 at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff.
Ed was born April 14, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Mary (Pietros) Bajorek. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 - 1955, and was a veteran of the Korean War. During his time in the Navy, he served on the USS Atka AGB 3 Icebreaker, and served missions in the Antarctic. He married Beverly Heksel on June 11, 1955 in Milwaukee. Ed was employed with Ameritech and AT&T, and retired as manager. Ed was a summer resident of the Tomahawk area since 1966, and moved here permanently in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, word search puzzles, putzing, polka music, and working on anything mechanical. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the American Legion, and St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include: wife, Beverly Bajorek, Tomahawk, children, Denise (Dennis) Dockter, Waukesha, John (Mary) Bajorek, Rochester, Frank (Nancy) Bajorek, Mukwonago, Paul (Shelly) Bajorek, Mukwonago
Ed is further survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son - Edward, two sisters, and five brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Rites for Ed will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Milwaukee.
