Edward Behling

Edward W. Behling, age 83, of Irma, WI, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Ed was born March 17, 1924 in Tomahawk to the late Jess and Anna Behling. Ed was married to June Roberts on May 22, 1961 in Eagle River, WI; she survives. Ed was a lifelong resident of the Tomahawk area. He was a 1942 graduate of Tomahawk High School. Ed owned and operated Behling Insurance in Tomahawk for 42 years; retiring in 1988. He also owned and operated Tomahawk Tree Farms for 50 years. He was a former member of the Tomahawk School Board. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family. Survivors include: his wife June Behling of Tomahawk, 1 Daughter, Mary (Bruce) Czaja of Tomahawk, 1 Son, Tom (Sharon) Behling of Tomahawk, 7 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild. Ed was preceded in death by his Parents, and 1 Brother, Roy Behling. Funeral Mass for Ed Behling will take place on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk, with Rev. John Anderson to officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Corpus Christi Center of St. Mary's Church. Visitation continues on Wednesday in the church from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11. The family of Ed Behling has requested that all Memorials be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Krueger & Sons Funeral Home of Tomahawk is assisting the family.
