EILEEN M. ERICKSEN
Eileen M. Ericksen, 92, Philips, died peacefully Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home. Phillips, on Saturday, August 1,2015.
Eileen was born on March 24, 1923 in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of Harry T. and Catherine (Kennedy) Weber. She attended and graduated from Madonna High School in 1941. Following her education she was employed by Lyon Metal Industries for the duration of WWII. She was married to Edward O. Ericksen on September 28, 1946, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Aurora. Edward preceded her in death on July 21, 1975.
As a young woman, she was a champion speed skater .She loved to water ski and was an avid bowler and, after moving to Phillips in 1964, just loved to snowmobile. She was a life long Cubs fan, loved the Packers, and enjoyed watching any sporting event. She also enjoyed trips to the casino.
She and her husband owned and operated the Skyline Supper Club, Phillips from 1964 until 1975.
Eileen is survived by six children: Thomas E. Ericksen, Suellen (David) Easker, Laurie A. (Robert) Larson, Lisa M. Johnson, Glenn R. (Angie) Ericksen, and Danile R. (Hilda) Ericksen, seven grandchildren: Molly Blackwell-James, Sarah (Frank) Martelli, Katie (Dave) Levine, Mary (Leif) Canfield, Kelly Johnson, Michaela Ericksen and Elicia Ericksen; nine great grandchildren and her sister-in-law Catherine Weber.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; her brothers Harry E., Glenn, and Robert; her grandsons Scott and Christopher Johnson and granddaughters Angela and Kristine Larson.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 21, 2015, at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen of St, Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home from10:00 A.M. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 until the time of the service.
