Eileen Nelson

Eileen L. Nelson, age 92, a resident of Golden Living Center - Riverview, passed away June 6, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Eileen was born March 22, 1916 in the Town of Spirit, the daughter of Walfred and Violet Dahl. She married Arvid Nelson on March 14, 1936 in Ogema; he passed away in 1976. Eileen was a life-long resident of the Tomahawk area. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include: 1 Son Elroy (Patricia) Nelson Green Bay 3 Daughters Virgene (Victor) Graves Garibaldi, Oregon Janet (John) Walbeck Tomahawk Ardiss Nelson Tomahawk 4 Sisters Vivian (Alvin) Berg Loveland, Colorado Betty Komarek Shawano Loretta Soderstrom Shawano Arlyss Niemi Plover 6 Grandchildren Susan (Patrick) McNerney Oconto Falls Michelle (Joe) Strozyk Nehalem, Oregon Deanna (David) Bollinger Garibaldi, Oregon Sharon (Terry) Gustafson Tripoli Steven Walbeck Tomahawk Sherrie (Matthew) Lorbeck St. Francis Eileen is further survived by 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband - Arvid. Funeral Services for Eileen Nelson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer and Rev. Don Cannady will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery in Spirit.
