Eleanore "Ellie" Magnant

Eleanore “Ellie” Magnant, 95, passed away Saturday, January 27^th, 2024 at Milestone Assisted Living under the care of Compassus Home Care and Hospice. 

Ellie was born April 12, 1928 in Ashland to Antone and Casmira Zembrycki. She was married to Lawrence E. Magnant November 1, 1947 also in Ashland. He passed away in 2010.  

 Surviving Ellie Magnant are her children; Chris (Doug Williams) Copiskey, Tomahawk; Marcia (Jeff) Barkus, Rhinelander; Lisa (Glen) Breise, Helena, MT; Greg Magnant, Rhinelander; and Kurt Magnant, Belgrade, MT. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a great great grandson,  and a sister, Rose (Joseph) Klucarich, Milwaukee.

Ellie Magnant led an incredibly rich and full life that will be celebrated privately by her family. The family wants to thank the staff at Milestone for their love and care for Ellie these past years. They are protectors and angels on earth. The family would appreciate memorials to a healthcare worker of your choice. Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a couple of bucks, or a hug.   Appreciate what all healthcare workers do for us.
