Elizabeth "Betts" Clifford, age 82, N11098 Stone Road, Tomahawk, formerly of Wausau, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk.
Betts was born September 27, 1926 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Elmer and Anne (Alexander) Sneider. She married Arthur Clifford on September 26, 1946; he passed away in 1988. Betts was a Registered Nurse, formerly employed with Lincoln Hills, St. Mary's Hospital in Wausau, and was a Public Health Nurse for Marathon County. She was a member of the Retired Nurse's Association. Betts enjoyed reading, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wausau.

2 sons, William Clifford and Bruce Clifford all of Tomahawk
Betts is further survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son - Bob, and 1 brother - Bill Sneider.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home. Nate Nelson will conduct the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11.
