Elmer Frank Johnson

Elmer F. Johnson, 90, peacefully ascended to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. Elmer was born December 13, 1934, to parents Emil and Erna Johnson, spending his youth enjoying the outdoors and attending then graduating from Phillips High School.

After High School Elmer married the love of his life, Marion “Ethel” Liebelt on August 21, 1954. They welcomed one son, David.

Elmer proudly served in the U.S. Army. After his military service he worked various jobs, ending his working career with a 30-year employment of Phillips Plastics. As an avid outdoorsman, Elmer enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Elmer is survived by his son: David (Julie); grandchildren: Ashley (Tim) Kraemer, Samantha (Matt) Ellwanger; great grandsons: Edwin Kraemer and Shaun Ellwanger; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers: Gordon, Clifford, Donald, and Emil Jr.; one sister: Bernice.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 120 Forest Ave, Phillips, WI 54555 with Pastor Dean Arbs officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.
