Elmer W. Dahlquist Jr.

Elmer William Dahlquist Jr., age 79 of Boulder Junction, WI died on Saturday, September 19th at his residence. Elmer was born on February 23, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Elmer and Ann (nee Popenleur) Dahlquist Sr. Elmer married Carol Meyer on July 23, 1960 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in MIlwaukee, WI. She was the love of his life and they were married for fifty-five wonderful years. Elmer worked for Wisconsin Electric for 24 years as an Outage Planning Supervisor at Oak Creek Power Plant.
Elmer was active and was involved with the Boulder Junction Shooting Range as a Board Member, Past President of the Boulder Junction Area Historical Society, and Past President of the Trout Lake Property Owners Association. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Woodruff and formerly a member of the Hartland Gun Club. He loved shooting trap, hunting, fishing and researching Northwoods area history. Several of his history articles were published in the Lakeland Times.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Dahlquist and children: Alisa (Mike) Wimmer; Teresa (Tim) Escher and Angela (Mike) Tollefson and by grandchildren: Kathryn (Josh) Morrison, Marianne Escher, Jennifer Escher, Nicholas Tollefson and Miranda Tollefson. He is also survived by sister-in-law Patricia Meyer, special nephew Mike (Suzie) Meyer and other nieces, nephews and friends. Elmer was preceded in death by his Parents: Elmer Sr. and Ann Dahlquist; and his Brother, Edward G. Dahlquist.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with a visitation and luncheon from 12:00 Noon till time of service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Boulder Junction Area Historical Society or Holy Family Catholic Church.
