Elsie Bartz, age 78, W6479 West Kraft Road, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Elsie was born November 5, 1934 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Bebeau) Kahle. She married Irvin Bartz, Jr. on December 12, 1953 in Tomahawk; he passed away February 2, 1976. Elsie was a long-time employee of Tomahawk Community Bank, where she was the vice president of operations and also served as director from 1987 - 2004. She also served the Town of Bradley for 37 years, as clerk from 1971 - 1979, and as town supervisor from 1985 - 2007. Always helping others, Elsie received the Distinguished Service Award at the 2005 Tomahawk Community Awards. She was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Children, Laurie Albrent, Middleton, Patti (Rudy) LaNou, Tomahawk, Jerry (Kim) Bartz, Tomahawk, Andy (Dee) Bartz, Tomahawk, Ricky (Tracy) Bartz, Tomahawk, Lenny (Brenda) Bartz, Tomahawk, Brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Kahle, Tomahawk, Sisters, Phyllis Evans, Tomahawk, Ginny (Gene) Swan, Tomahawk Elsie is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Irv, and brother - Don Kahle. Funeral Services for Elsie Bartz will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home on Sunday, December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
