Emil H. Toede, N8867 Cullom Rd., Tomahawk, passed away January 7, 2011 at his residence under home hospice care.
Emil was born December 9, 1924 in Chicago, the son of Emil and Elsie (Pohlman) Toede. He married Lorraine Irmischer on April 9, 1949 in Milwaukee. He was a WWII U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, serving from July 1943 - December 1945. Emil was employed with Tomahawk Boat Company from 1950 - 1963. He then went to work as a Pattern Maker with Harley Davidson in Tomahawk, where he was employed for 23 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.

Emil is further survived by 3 grandchildren - Adrienne Drewek, Elizabeth Rinka, Martha Toede, and 1 great grandchild - Benjamin Drewek. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Emil Toede will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Krueger Family Funeral Home, and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
