Erma Jean Cadwell, 90, Former Butternut resident, died in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, She was born in Hebron, Indiana, on May 9, 1926, the daughter of George and Mabel (Claussen) Phillips. She was married to Donald Cadwell in Crown Point, Indiana, on February 8, 1947. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, bird watching and feeding, crafting, sewing, and baking.
She is survived by six children, Donald “Gene” (Marilyn), New Caney, TX, Bruce (Julie), Fort Wayne, IN, Wanda (Clarence) Melion, Portage, IN, Patricia (Bob) Cebery, Glidden, WI, Dru (Bob) Giesler, Green Bay, WI, and Janice (Bill) Koehler, Ashland, WI; by 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; and by 2 great great grandchildren; and by one sister, Mildred Nelson, Crown Point, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on May 12, 2003; and is also preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Johns USN; and by one sister, Marie Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 P.M. on Friday, October 14, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Vicar Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be in the Butternut Union Cemetery in Butternut, WI.
