"Gone Fishin"
Eugene E. Kraus, 89, of Phillips WI, with his fishing pole and tackle box in hand he left us this morning March 5, 2023. He waited until morning as the sun came up, he headed up to a Great Fishing spot in heaven. He was born to Herman and Elnora (Bischoff) Kraus on October 2, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI.
He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 42 years. He loved to take care of his lawn and garden, go camping, fishing and hunting. He was a dictated family man that was at his happiest when he was spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia; son, Dale (Mary) Kraus; granddaughters, Kathy Kraus, Debra Kulbeck, Jennifer Bowen, Jessica (Thomas) Brewington; great-granddaughters, MyKinze, Lilly, Chloe; great-grandson, Charles; brother-in-law, Les Beecher; and sister-in-law, Mary Ewer; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friends Al Ostmann and Bud Hebby
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karleen, Sandy, and Audrey; brother, Donald; sister-in-law, Sharon Cork; brother-in-law, Robert Schultz.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, starting at 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park, 101 East River Street, Tomahawk, WI, 54487. Please bring your lawn chair and favorite memories to share. We will have food, fishing access, and a park for the kids. We hope you can join us to celebrate Eugene's life. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
