Eugene E. Luedtke, 92, of W6985 Loop Road, Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home.
Eugene was born on June 5, 1923 in the Town of Maine to Edwin and Laura (Krause) Luedtke. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was married to Shirley Schmidt on October 6, 1945, she passed away in 1976. On December 14, 1990 Eugene married Dorothy (Spletter) Hess, she survives. He was employed as a carpenter and retired from Woller Construction in 1996. Eugene loved working with wood, he had a very pleasant disposition and was always whistling, humming, or playing his harmonica.

Eugene is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 8 great step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Shirley, son, Jody, and 2 step children, Donna and Dennis Hess.
Funeral services with Military rites for Eugene E. Luedtke will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in the town of Maine. Friends may call at the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11. Memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
