Evelyn Roberts

Evelyn A. Roberts, age 88, of Tomahawk, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2007 at her residence. She was born October 30, 1918 in Brainerd, Minnesota to the late Matt and Rose Eisel. She was married to Richard Roberts on October 18, 1986 in Floodwood, MN; he survives. Evelyn was a Registered Nurse and worked in the Chicago area for many years. She moved to the Tomahawk area in 1980. She formerly served as the Director at Golden Age Nursing home in Tomahawk. She semi-retired in 1982. She was active in many activities at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include her Husband, Richard Roberts of Tomahawk, 1 Daughter, Grace (Tom) Collins of Merrill, 2 Sisters, Helen Eisel of St. Louis Park, MN, and Dorothy (George) Wetherbee of Brainerd, MN, and 1 Brother, Father Howard Eisel of Crosby, MN. She is further survived by a special brother in law, Gerald (Wilhelmina) Roberts of Tomahawk and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Phillip. Memorial Mass for Evelyn Roberts will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 11 AM from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk, with Rev. John Anderson to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of mass at 11. An additional Memorial Mass will take place at a later date in Crosby, MN with Evelyn's Brother, Father Howard Eisel to officiate. Krueger & Sons Funeral Home of Tomahawk is assisting the family.
