Faye McCarthy

Faye McCarthy, age 73, W5709 Daoust Rd., Tomahawk, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at her residence under the care of Ministry Home Hospice. Faye was born July 21, 1939 in North Lake, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Klade) Samuels. She married Kieth McCarthy April 12, 1958 in Rhinelander; he passed away April 29, 2008. Faye was a custodian at the former Bradley School for 5 years, and at Tomahawk High School for over 35 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Nokomis Ladybugs. She loved to laugh, and enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with friends and family - especially at the family cabin. Survivors include: Daughter Kim McCarthy Tomahawk Sons Brian McCarthy Tomahawk Steven McCarthy Tomahawk Sisters Beatrice (Pete) Templeton Maringo, Illinois Bernadette Salzman Big Foot Faye is further survived by two grandchildren - Evan and Jessica McCarthy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother - Ben. Funeral Services for Faye McCarthy will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Friday, September 28, 2012 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 27th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow services at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the Town of Nokomis.
