Frances M. Cronick, age 96, of N11975 County Road Y, Tomahawk, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2012 at her home under the care of Ministry Home Care and Hospice.
Franny was born on February 8, 1916 to Albert and Mary Kluss on the Kluss family farm in Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin. She attended school in Armstrong Creek and was especially proud of her mathematical skills. As a teen, she worked in Chicago to help support the family farm. On February 3, 1940 she married John M. Cronick and lived for a short time in Rexton, Michigan, then to Brantwood, Wisconsin and finally, in 1954 to the town of Bradley. She had worked at the Tomahawk slipper factory and then Georgia Pacific until her retirement in 1981.

Franny is further survived by 12 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, John Paul Cronick, brothers, Albert, John, and Joe, and sisters, Anna Kazmirzak and Sophie Zakrzewski.
A Memorial Mass for Franny Cronick will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church at a later date. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Franny dearly loved her family, her many friends, her gardens, cooking, quilting, and the birds and frogs who sang to her. Her hugs and "love bites" will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Ministry Home Care and Hospice for their help in transitioning her from this life to the next where her beloved family and friends await.
