Francis Moss, age 74, 2081 Nancy Drive, Tomahawk, passed away December 19, 2009 at his residence.
Fran was born April 1, 1935 in Kaukauna, the son of Edwin and Goldie (Spaulding) Moss. Fran spent his early childhood years in Kaukauna. He later moved to Antigo, and was a 1953 graduate of Antigo High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954, serving 28 years including the years he served in the National Guard. He formerly resided in Palatine, Illinois for 10 years before moving to Tomahawk in 1977. He was formerly married to Leona Ahern, who preceded him in death in 1981. He later married Judith Davis in 1999 in Boise, Idaho. He formerly owned and operated Tomahawk Paint for 6 years and was a former school bus driver. He was a very active member of the Tomahawk Lions Club, formerly serving as president. Fran enjoyed Lake Nokomis and water activities. Since his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to military historical places of interest.

Fran is further survived by 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Leona, daughter - Leann, and son - Terry.
Funeral Services with Military Tribute for Fran Moss will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
