FRANK J. MORTELLARO JR.
Frank J. Mortellaro Jr. Mt. Prospect, IL and Phillips, Wi, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 27, 1932, the son of Frank J. and Cecilia (Balistreri) Mortellaro. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was married to Yolanda Bolognesi in Chicago, Illinois, on July 6, 1957. He was employed by the Teletype Corporation in Skokie, Illinois, and then by various Federal Government agencies until the time of his retirement. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Mt. Prospect, Il and of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips. In his free time he enjoyed playing the accordion and organ, fishing, shooting, cooking, and travel.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yolanda; by one son, Frank III, Phillips; by two daughters, Carla, Algonquin, IL, and Lisa (Robert) Nolan, Lake In The Hills, IL; by five grandchildren, Vincent, Carlo, Ariana, Stephen, and Sabrina; by one sister, Joanne Rice, Harwood Heights, IL; by one niece and by two nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother, Samuel.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 13, at Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Lourdu Raju Madanu celebrating the Funeral Mass. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Military honors will be conducted by the Lane Kreiling American Legion Post No 122 and the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post No. 5778.
