FRANKLIN SNODGRASS
Franklin Delano Snodgrass, 81, Park Falls, former Town of Worcester resident, died at the home of his daughter and son-in-law while under the care of his family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. He was born on May 7, 1934, in Raymond City, West Virginia, the son of James and Myrtle (Shamlen) Snodgrass. He spent his early life in West Virginia, and as a young man was employed as a landscaper. He was married to Betty Jean Patrick on April 22, 1954, in Putnam County, West Virginia. They made their home in the Chicago, Illinois, area. He was employed by the Acorn Corrugated Box Company in Chicago from 1962 until the time of his retirement in 1995. Following their retirement they made their home in Price County. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding wildlife, was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed visiting local casinos.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina (Alan) Stuart, Park Falls; and by one sister, Betty Clendenin, Charleston, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, on May 30, 2014; he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Beulah, by one brother, James, and by two infant brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 13, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Deacon Chet Ball of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of services.
