Fred “Fritz” Timm, age 88, of Irma, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home, under the care of Ministry Hospice.
Fred was born on February 2, 1928 in Sheply, WI to Fred C. & Meta (Brumm) Timm. He served our country in the US Navy. Fritz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in agriculture. Fritz met the love of his life, Bernadine Lee, in Milwaukee. On June 10, 1978, Fred and Bernie were married in Las Vegas. He worked for over 36 years as the head of corporate transportation for AO Smith in Milwaukee. In 1985, they moved their family to Tomahawk. He designed and built their dream log home in Irma. Fritz was a chairman of the Town of Skanawan for 16 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially, hunting and fishing. In his earlier days, Fritz played baseball for the Tomahawk Cubs and was on the boxing team. He was a skilled woodworker and loved carving. He was known for his carved wooden hand crosses.

Fred is further survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
The Funeral Service for Fred Timm will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. Pastor Debra Hastings will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Irma.
