Gary Casadonte, age 62, 11225 Killarney Bay Drive, Tomahawk, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 16, 2010 at his residence.
Gary was born January 7, 1948 in Milwaukee, the son of Alex and Beverly (Stelter) Casadonte. He married Carol Bessler on August 8, 1970 in Milwaukee. In 1979, Gary was employed with Wisconsin Electric, and was later employed as Fire Protection Coordinator with Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Two Rivers until his retirement in 2008. He was on the executive committee with the Manitowoc and Calumet Counties Red Cross for 12 years. Gary was a former Cub Scout Troop Leader, softball coach, and was the Pit Crew Chief for Wing Modified Racing in Manitowoc. He enjoyed walleye fishing, and was a member of the Minocqua Gun Club, the Town of Little Rice Fire Department, and St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was very active with the Farmers' Breakfast. Gary was very devoted to his family and friends.

Gary is further survived by a granddaughter - Ava Rose, and 9 nieces and nephews - Nicole, Kristin, Jason, Sophie, Benjamin, Daniel, Kristen, Jennifer, and Timothy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gary Casadonte will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
