GARY WILLIAMS
Gary Lee Williams, 70, Phillips, died in the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 7, 2016. He was born in Orange, California, on April 14, 1946, the son of Robert and Elinor Williams. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was married to Sharon Wheeler on June 29, 1974, in Acuna, Mexico, and they repeated their wedding vows in front of family and friends on August 17, 1974, in San Angelo, Texas. He worked as an auto body repairman during his entire working career. He was a member of Victory Christian Center of Phillips, and of the Rodfathers. In his free time he enjoyed working on cars and building hotrod automobiles.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; by five children, Christopher (Angela), San Diego, CA, Kori Slinger, Atlanta, GA, Bailey (Shawn) Kargus, Menasha, WI, Sydni Williams, Menasha, WI and Jammie Lynch, Palm Springs, CA; by three grandchildren, Garrison Slinger, Amanda (Mike) Newton, and Kieran Williams; by two brothers, Wayne (Sue) Williams, San Jacinto, CA, and Donald (Joni) Bolte, Reno, NV; and by one sister, Shari Joubert, Sahuarita, AZ. He is preceded in death by one son, Robert.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. On Monday, August 15, at the Victory Christian Center in Phillips with Pastor Carol Gabrielsen officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services.
