George W. DeBels, age 80, of W3702 County Rd. D, Tomahawk, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his home.
George was born August 20, 1935 in Harrison to George and Whilemina (Hoogland) DeBels, Sr. He married Caryol J. McKinney on July 16, 1955 in Tomahawk. George farmed in Harrison for 40 years, he also operated DeBels Bus Service for the Tomahawk School District for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. George was a huge Packer fan, a history buff, and enjoyed reading. He also enjoyed winters in Mesa, Arizona for the past 20 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison.

George is further survived by 13 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Tony and Karel, 3 sisters and one brother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. Fr. Louis Reddy Maram Reddy will officiate. Entombment will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Monday from 4 pm until 7 pm. A Vigil service will be held at 7 pm. The visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 10 am until the time of mass at 11 am at the church.
