George Larson, age 87, 9922 Swamp Lake Road, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk.
George was born March 9, 1921 in Tomahawk, the son of Olaus and Clara Larson. He married Deloris Dorava on July 9, 1966 in Medford. George was raised in the Town of Cassian. He later moved to Milwaukee, residing there for 12 years. He returned to Tomahawk and was employed with the Tomahawk School District for 25 years, retiring in 1983. George was an active 4-H leader for over 25 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. George was a U.S. Army WWII veteran, and a member of the American Legion and the D.A.V. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, making wine and maple syrup, and spending time with children.

George is further survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service for George Larson will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008 from Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services at 3:00 p.m.
