George 'David' Lindberg, 84, of 3003 Wausau Road, Rhinelander, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
George was born September 19, 1928 in Ironwood, Michigan, the son of Erhard and Jennie (Anderson) Lindberg. He married Jean Goldsworthy on October 10, 1958 in Ironwood, Michigan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in Japan. George and Jean moved to the Rhinelander area in 1963, where he was employed with the Estabrook Insurance Company. He retired in 1985, and then became involved with the Timber Producers Association. George had a hunger for knowledge, always keeping up with current events. He enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, working in his yard, and going for daily walks.

George is further survived by four grandchildren, Hannah (Josh), Abraham, Halle, and Lilli, and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Audrina.
Private family services for George 'David' Lindberg will be held at a later date.
