Gerald George Ackley Sr., age 72 of Lac du Flambeau, WI died on Monday, March 17th at Ministry St. Clares Hospital in Weston, WI. Jerry was born on May 13, 1941 in Ashland, WI the son of George and Evelyn (nee Coutour) Ackley. Jerry graduated from Ashland High School and married Sharon Glishmann on July 11, 1965. Jerry was a self employed mason and was an active member of the Lac du Flambeau Fire Department for 40 years and was awarded Firefighter of the year.Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharon and Son, Brian Ackley and Daughters: Laura (Todd) Rockhill and Sherry (Scott) Ackley Patzlaff and by his precious Granddaughter, Krisy Ackley Patzlaff all of Lac du Flambeau, WI and by his Siblings: LaVerne Wrege, Richard and Mike Ackley and further survived by Niki Lynn Benson and many other relatives and close friends and family.He was preceded in death by his Son, Gerald Ackley Jr., his parents George and Evelyn and his Sisters, Yvonne Conners and Marlen Salterokis.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 21st at 11:00 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau, WI with a visitation at the church from 10:00 AM till time of service.
