GERALD GRAY JOHNSON
Gerald G. Johnson, Township of Ogema, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at his home under the care of Flambeau Home Health Care and his family.
He was born on May 9, 1935, in Marshfield, Vermont, the son of Albert M. and Gladys (Gray) Johnson. He spent his early life and schooling in Vermont. He was married to Monica L. LaPan on September 16, 1961, in Marshfield, Vermont.
He was employed at Higgins Construction Co., of Ann Arbor, Michigan, for many years prior to his retirement. Following their retirement they made their home in the Township of Ogema.
In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his wife Monica, Town of Ogema, by his 5 children: Gerald G. Jr. (Donna), Garden City, Mi., Franklin M. (Debra) Ypsilanti, Mi., Rhonda L. (Mark) Trevino, Bellevile, Mi., Mechel A. (Bob) Kemp, Garden City, Mi., and Dwayne A. (Angie) Johnson, Ogema, Wi., by 9 grandchildren: Jennifer, Robby, Gerald III, Angela, Matthew, Dwayne Jr., Maria, Monica, and Savanna, by 4 great grandchildren: Hailey, Austin, Madison, and Jackson, by his 2 sisters: Marjorie Cochron, Marshfield, Vermont and Shirley Luce, Eaat Calis, Vermont, by his loving Mother-In-Law Isabelle Spires, Catawba, by several Brothers and Sisters- in- Law, nieces , nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 3 sisters, 2 brothers ,and his Father-In-Law Franklin Spires.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of Geralds life will be held Saturday, March 26, at 12:00 Noon at the Chequamegon Sportsman's Club, W4062 Highway 8, Prentice, WI, with lunch to follow
