Gerald Laskowski

Gerald "Gerry" Laskowski, age, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at his residence in Minocqua under the care of Dr. Kate Home Hospice. Gerry was born on July 31, 1936 in Milwaukee to his parents, Benjamin & Estelle (LaSota) Laskowski. He was on the City of Milwaukee Police Force until he retired as Sergeant in 1989. Gerry was also the Co-Founder of M & L Grinding in Brookfield, WI in 1981. Gerry has been a part time resident of the Minocqua area since 1967 and moved there permanently 15 years ago. Gerry enjoyed being outdoors, loved his pets and worked hard all of his life. Gerry was a loving father to his four children: Laura (Russell) Szpot, Beth Ann (George) Connelly, Ben Laskowski & Gerald Laskowski, Jr. He also had four grandchildren: Amanda Laskowski, Abigail "What's Her Name" Laskowski, Joseph Connelly & Lily "The Other One" Laskowski. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Estelle and his brothers, Richard & Donald. According to Gerry's wishes, his family will hold a private gathering at a later date. The family would like to extend a personal thank you to all of his friends & neighbors who helped their dad through his extended illness. And also, extend a thank you to the staff at Dr. Kate Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
