Gerald Edward Roberts

Gerald E. Roberts, 97, of Tomahawk, WI passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Tomahawk Health Services.  Gerald was born August 18, 1926 in Milwaukee the son of Leroy and Anna (Gough) Roberts.  He was united in marriage to Wilhelmina (Renn) Basel on September 26, 1987 and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2019.  Gerald served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946.
Surviving are his step-children, Mary Sann, Wausau; Jane (Russ) Penkalski, Stoddard; Ella Sheldon, Rhinelander; Joyce (Jack) Verbist, Tomahawk; Theresa Majerus, Port Washington; Delores (Phil) Miller, Wausau; niece, Mary Felzkowski, Tomahawk; 15 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, June Behling; brother, Richard Roberts; nephew, Tom Behling and step-son, George Basel.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Basani officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to time of service.  Burial will be in held in spring.
