Gerald "Jerry" Rummel, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Friendly Village in Rhinelander, under the care of Ministry Hospice.
Jerry is formerly of Alliance & Louisville, Ohio and of Valders & Tomahawk, WI. Jerry was born on September 29, 1922 in Alliance, Ohio. He attended Alliance High School. He was a Naval Veteran, having served as a Gunner's mate aboard the Destroyer, USS Farragut in the South Pacific during WWII.
Upon his return to civilian life, he had worked for Wrybrecht Lumber and Tolerton Lumber as a cabinetmaker/finish carpenter. He then worked for Robertson Heating & Supply for 47 years. He was also a man of many talents and spent his "free" time doing odd jobs.
He was a member of Conrad Masonic Lodge #271, Tadmor Shrine, Eastern Star, Amaranth Faith Court #43, American Legion Post 166 & the Alliance Elks Lodge #467.

Wife of 70 years, Dolores "Dee" (nee Harry) of Friendly Village, Rhinelander, WI
Daughter, Linda (Patrick) Hoffman of Tomahawk, WI
Sons, Eric (Sandra) Rummel of Rootstown, Ohio
Dana (Ethel) Rummel of Port Orange, FL
Brother John (Beverly) Rummel of High Springs, FL
Jerry is further survived by 11 grandchildren, locally Tricia Samundsen, and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys & Marion Rummel, two brothers, Harold & Robert Rummel, and a son, Kenneth Rummel.
