Gerald Sampson

Gerald Sampson, 87, of Phillips, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Park Manor in Park Falls, WI. He was born to Tony and Irene (Brooke) Sampson on March 19, 1935, in Spring Valley, WI.

He loved the northwoods and could often be found outside boating, fishing, or hunting. He belonged to many local clubs including the South Milwaukee Yacht Club, Lugerville Chasers, and the Northwoods Range Rovers ATV Club. Jerry married Eleanor Tadisch in Waukegan, IL, on November 12, 1964. After his retirement from Chrysler, he and Ellie, enjoyed traveling around the country together.

He is survived by his wife, Ellie; siblings, June, Pat, Harley, Sandy (Steve); and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 284 Chestnut Street Phillips, WI 54555. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. and continue until the start of service. Burial will be at 11 a.m on Wednesday, May 11th in Athelstane, WI. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
