Gerald 'Jerry' Whytoshek, age 85, 215 W. Mohawk Drive, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk under the care of Ministry Home Hospice.
Jerry was born May 28, 1927 in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, the son of Albert and Mary Whytoshek. He married Mathilda Manka on April 17, 1952 in Detroit; she passed away September 28, 2006. Jerry moved to Tomahawk from the South Milwaukee area 30 years ago, and worked as a supervisor with Lincoln Wood Windows in Merrill. He enjoyed gardening and watching wildlife. Jerry served his country in the Merchant Marines, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include his siblings, Al, Jack, Norma, and Dorothy. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass for Jerry Whytoshek will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery in South Milwaukee.
