Gerladine Amelse

Geraldine "Geri" Amelse, age 88, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Geri was born December 14, 1921 in Ladysmith, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Ehmann) Baumgartner. She married John Amelse in April 1943; he passed away in 2006. Geri formerly worked at Baumgartner Laundry in Tomahawk. She enjoyed gardening, canning, word seek and crossword puzzles, and playing cards. She loved writing and sending cards and letters with stickers on them. She was a member of the Gray Ladies and St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Daughter Janet (Ron) Pierdzioch Tomahawk Step grandson Ron Pierdzioch Milwaukee A Memorial Mass for Geri Amelse will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
