Gina M. Gruhlke, age 49, 317 Bradley Farm Road, Tomahawk, died unexpectedly October 13, 2013 at her residence.
Gina was born July 10, 1964 in Tomahawk, the daughter of George Walker and Julie L'Abbe Thayer. She was a 1982 graduate of Tomahawk High School, and received an Associate's Degree in insurance and computer programming from North Central Technical College in Wausau, and later earned a degree as a pharmacy tech. Gina married Brian Gruhlke on September 21, 1991 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. She was employed at Louisiana Pacific, L'Abbe Insurance Agency, Foster & Smith, Northbay Pharmacy, River Valley Bank, and most recently at Nelson's County Market and Stoxen Pharmacy.
Survivors include: husband, Brian Gruhlke, Tomahawk; mother, Julie Thayer, Tomahawk; brother, Brian (Norma Townsend) Walker, Tomahawk; step sisters, Sue (Ron) McManus, Sacramento, California, Kelly (Steve) Hesketh, Venice, Florida, Kerry Thayer, Minocqua, Jackie Thayer, Venice, Florida; sisters-in-law, Sue (Rick) Delap, Tomahawk, Dawn Gruhlke, Tomahawk; brothers-in-law, Billy (Joanne) Gruhlke, Tomahawk, Brad Gruhlke, Tomahawk; mother-in-law, Pat Gruhlke, Tomahawk.
Gina is further survived by special nephew and nieces, John Walker, Samantha Walker, and Brienna Walker; special uncle and aunts, Jack L'Abbe, Karen L'Abbe, and Kerry Gaedtke; her favorite pets, Shadow and Skylar; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Walker, special step father, Jack Thayer, maternal grandparents, John and Julia L'Abbe, paternal grandparents, George and Marjorie Walker, and father-in-law, William Gruhlke.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gina Gruhlke will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Father John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday from 10:00 Am until the hour of Mass at 11:00 AM.
