Glenn A. Callahan, Sr., age 83, of N11150 Callahan Road, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Big Glenn was born on July 21, 1932 in Tomahawk to Matthew and Erna (Buschke) Callahan. He was raised and lived his entire life on a small farm in the town of Harrison. Big Glenn was drafted into the Army in 1952. He was a combat veteran of the Korean War with the 25th Division and later served in Seoul in the Military Police. It was in Korea that he met and married his wife, Suzy on May 9, 1955. Suzy passed away in 2010. Glenn worked for 47 years at the Tomahawk Paper Mill, he retired in 1994 as Paper Machine Supervisor. He was an avid Packer fan, loved deer hunting, ice fishing on Pickerel Lake, drinking beer, and he loved to read. Glenn was incredibly hard working and enjoyed telling stories.

He is further survived by 3 Grandsons, Kyle, Logan, and Nathan Norman and his
dog, Josie. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Suzy, 2 Sisters, and
5 Brothers.
Funeral Services with Military rites for Big Glenn Callahan will be held on Monday, February 15th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Sunday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
