Gordon Marnholtz, age 79, W6538 Cty. Rd. E, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Gordy was born December 20, 1933 in the Town of Harding, the son of Louis and Hattie (Carney) Marnholtz. He married Ellen Bickett August 20, 1977 in Tomahawk; she passed away May 23, 2013. Gordy was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a foreman with Merrill Wire Products for many years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and woodworking. Gordy built many pieces of furniture, and even built his own home. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include, son, Rick Marnholtz, Cambridge, Minnesota, sisters, Ida Gibert, Milwaukee, Esther Jackson, Jackson. Gordy is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Ellen, three sisters, and four brothers.
A Funeral Service with Military Rites for Gordon Marnholtz will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
